This is one of my all time favorites. I have seen a few of the other Monty Python and TV comedy stuff. But i think this is one of their very best.

You know, there is something about the brits and their ability to tickle your funny bone. They usually dont have to do a thing, just say something in all seriousness.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!
I heard this quote in a movie 'Sliding Doors', used by a character to cheer somebody up. The point is not the joke so presented here by the Monty Python team, which is quite funny by itself and can cheer people out of their wits.
There is also something more profound. Nobody expects the worst to happen. So i guess what happened happened, but you can overcome it.
